LG MS1 La Garma Cave

This digital video was created using photogrammetric modelling of a painted panel in La Garma cave in northern Spain. It was created by Aaron Watson with soundtrack by Rupert Till. WIth kind permission of Gobierno De Cantabria. The cave is part of the Cave of Altamira and Paleolithic Cave Art of Northern Spain. These hand stencils are probably more than 25,000 years old, and are in a section of the cave far from the original entrance.

Atxurra cave has 14000 years old paintings

Palaeolithic cave art has beed discovered in Atxurra cave, Berriatua municipality, in the North of Spain. Archaeologists believe the animal depictions to be around 14000 years old. The palaeolithic parietal art is located some 300 meters from the cave entrance, making it difficult to study.
